National security has become increasingly important in today's world, where countries face various threats, including terrorism, cyberattacks, and geopolitical tensions. With the aim of enhancing national security through strategy and planning, the AGBU Armenian Virtual College (AVC) has launched an online course called "National Security - Strategizing and Planning.”

A group of 10-12 graders from Yerevan school N65 named after Leo embarked on an exciting journey of learning artificial intelligence (AI) in December 2022 with AVC's online AI course. The course offers a hybrid mode, and combines the benefits of both online and in-class learning, providing students with flexibility and convenience.
Although the courses are online, this time, the online teacher Mher Yerznkanyan had the opportunity to be in the classroom, providing students with additional support and guidance alongside their class teacher, Meri Simonyan. They had a chance to answer students' questions and help them with various tasks, providing a collaborative and engaging learning experience.

Hybrid Schools Celebrate International Mother Language Day
On February 21st, AGBU AVC students from various hybrid schools and partnering educational institutions celebrated International Mother Language Day by honoring the Armenian language through reciting the Alphabet Prayer, a poem that pays tribute to the 36 letters of the Armenian alphabet.
As usual, AGBU AVC is proud to bring young Armenians from around the world together by initiating such networking campaigns aimed at preserving and promoting the Armenian culture and heritage.

Another Successful Year of the Armenian Language Program at Rosario University
The National University of Rosario (NRU) in Argentina has successfully completed the second year of its Armenian language program with the Armenian Virtual College (AVC).
In December 2022, students from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, together with members of Cátedra Armenia and representatives from AGBU Buenos Aires, gathered to celebrate the success of the past academic year.

Promising Collaboration with H. Acharian Language Institute
AGBU AVC and the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (NAS RA) Language Institute named after H. Acharyan held a productive meeting at the AGBU AVC office. The meeting aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration between the two organizations, and both sides presented their activities and work during the session. Teaching School Students in Texas About the Armenian Genocide Through Geography
A productive meeting took place between the Head of Academic Affairs of AVC Marine Khachaturyan and the Director of the Global Scholars Diploma Program of the World Affairs Council of Austin Michael Cunningham, where they discussed a pilot program aimed at raising awareness among high school students from Texas, USA, about the Armenian Genocide through teaching the geography of it.

Training International Chess Teachers: a Collaboration Initiated by Mauritius Chess Federation
During the 2022-2023 educational period, 23 teachers from Mauritius participated in the AVC Chess Teacher Training Program.
The third educational year was a success. Guided by AVC Chess Online Instructor Maria Gevorgyan, the participants took the Basic Chess Strategy (CP422) course, instructed in English. Upon successful completion of the course, the teachers received certificates and transcripts.
