AVC Concludes One Year of Successful Partnership with the Russian-Armenian Slavonic University 06/19/2017

The partnership with the Russian-Armenian Slavonic University (RAU) was initiated during the academic year of 2016 and marked the first year of successful collaboration in June 2017 with the first cohort of students completing the Armenian Language Course for Beginners. On June 19, 2017, 13 students from RAU’s Departments of Management and International Relations, who were studying AVC’s Eastern Armenian course for the past academic year, were awarded with AVC Language Certificates.

To ensure the best learning results for RAU students, AVC’s online language course was masterfully adapted to a blended course by AVC Hybrid Education Coordinator Arpine Tavakalyan and AVC Education Program Coordinator Marina Khachaturyan to best meet the needs of the university. As a result, the students benefited both from online and onsite teaching methods.

During the June 19 ceremony, the heads of both universities discussed the continuity of the project collaboration for the academic year of 2017-2018. Afterwards, AVC Academic Director Hasmik Khalapyan awarded 13 students with AVC Language Certificates. The students expressed their gratitude to AVC and shared their experience in Armenian, which was the best evidence of the knowledge they had gained and the efforts the AVC team had invested in the project.

Considering the successful completion of the first-year project, the collaboration promises to expand to the larger Russian-speaking audience of RAU in the upcoming academic year.
