On April 12, a graduation ceremony was held in São Paulo, Brazil, for the first cohort of the AGBU AVC Armenian Language course taught in Portuguese, an initiative launched recently in cooperation with AGBU Brazil.
During the event at the prestigious Tivoli Mofarrej hotel, AGBU AVC Founding President Dr. Yervant Zorian congratulated everyone and awarded all the e-learners with certificates for successfully completing the first term of the Armenian Language course in Portuguese, which is available in two options: Eastern and Western Armenian.
Chair of AGBU Brazil Rafael Balukian also congratulated the students and emphasized the importance of this collaboration. “The introduction of the AGBU AVC Armenian Language course in Portuguese as the language of instruction was a dream realized and a lasting contribution from AGBU Brazil to the Armenian community and everyone dedicated to preserving our culture, “ he said.
After the awarding ceremony, the students also had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with AGBU AVC Online Instructor Anushik Harutyunyan and share their insights about their learning experiences.
This collaboration once again restates AGBU AVC’s overarching mission of providing innovative and accessible opportunities for Armenian education to e-learners worldwide, regardless of their language preferences or background.
Besides Portuguese, the AGBU AVC Armenian Language course is also available in 7 other languages of instruction and it is offered free of charge. The second level of the course in Portuguese is currently rolling with many new and returning students, which is a testament to the program's success.
