Growing Collaboration With Hybrid Schools Worldwide 02/28/2022

AVC continued to offer online courses and organize educational activities and online social events for hybrid schools, aiming to enhance students’ learning experience. Besides the AVC hybrid program’s main offerings and the benefit of social meetups, AVC also offers pedagogically sound and up-to-date teacher resources.


CANADA


AVC hybrid students from AGBU Toronto successfully completed the second term of the AVC online chess course. At the end of the term, AVC organized a year-end ceremony where a dozen students were granted academic certificates of completion.

More than 40 students joined the winter session of the AVC hybrid educational program at the AGBU Hayortyats Or School in Montreal. The students learned about the basics of chess with the help of AVC online instructor, Woman Grandmaster Maria Gevorgyan.


In December 2021, more than 30 students from the AGBU Alex Manoogian School in Montreal were taken on a virtual tour to the Komitas Museum-Institute and the House-museum of Hovhannes Tumanyan and learned about the works and biographies of the masterminds of Armenian music and literature.

SWITZERLAND


AVC organized an uplifting and educational online event for the young students from the Topalian Armenian School of Geneva on the day of the celebration of the Feast of St. James of Nisibis. In the spirit of the approaching New Year, the meetup was also filled with celebratory songs and short poetry recitals in Armenian.


RUSSIA


AVC Lab, one of the first hybrid schools established in 2011, continues to provide opportunities for e-learners of all ages to study the Armenian language. In March 2022, AVC hosted a virtual experience dedicated to Martiros Saryan. The students learned about the artist and went on a virtual tour of his museum.


TAIWAN


At the end of 2021, around 30 hybrid students from the Affiliated High School of Chung-Hsing University in Taichung were taken on a virtual visit to the Erebuni Museum in Armenia. The students take the AVC Armenian history courses and express a keen interest in Armenia.
