AVC Founder and President Meets Young Professionals of Brussels
11/27/2016
On November 27, 2016, AVC Founder and President Dr. Yervant Zorian paid a visit to Brussels, Belgium and met with the AGBU Young Professionals of Brussels.
About 30 young professionals, along with Sarkis Petrosian, the chairman of the YP group, and Sevak Abelian, the Vice chair of YPs, were present during the informal and friendly evening. Dr. Zorian had open and sincere discussions with the young people about AGBU’s youth programs—highlighting Armenian Virtual College in particular and the Armenian nation at large.
The meeting was very productive and raised provoking thoughts about how the innovative approach to expanding Armenian education could contribute to Armenian identity preservation for those who live away from the homeland. The unique opportunity to learn the ancestors’ mother tongue and their rich cultural heritage through online means could open doors to Armenian Studies for anyone and anywhere, as the AVC slogan states.
At the end of the evening, many of the attendants were encouraged by the ideas of the presentation and felt inspired to commit to bring their utmost contribution to help AVC grow and spread Armenian education everywhere on the globe.
